In need of a little work

On one of my various wanderings onto property purveying websites I happened upon this. Not hugely old but it looks to have decent enough untouched bones and at a reasonable price too. On first inspection it just seems to need the usual guttering remedies etc.

Could be really nice, renovated by the right person... Feels a bit wrong that a 6 bed doesn't have more land for a sizeable garden, though

It's old enough, 110 years at least, more likely 120-130 - looks late Victorian to me, like my place.

I think it'll need more than you think, it's been something institutional by the look of it, given the sinks in the bedrooms. I'd also be concerned about lack of land, very odd for a house that size of that age - maybe it was sold off at some point, especially if it was something institutional.

I'd like to know what's under the utterly hideous pub carpet in the entrance hallway!

My thoughts exactly. Something special one would like to think. Age, style and layout would certainly lead you to believe it would have been tiled extravagantly when built

For someone who likes a big house but doesn't like gardening. I can't immagine it would be bought by someone who would treat it sympathetically. Probably end up a rented property.

Edit: Although you could do it up, spend a large amount on the garage, and have quite a good lifestyle, as you'd have an intergral garage, and as it looks fairly densely populated, could have a lot of local amenities (I haven't looked at area.)

The trouble in that part of the world is getting trades to turn up. It's somehow worse than usual and we all know how reliable they are on average.
