I haven't counted and at over 4 hours work on this one, I'm beginning to regret my actions!!!!!
140! and some of those are prety blooming big, even in comparison to the one I've done......
I reckon my son should have just finished doing them by the time his kids are my age.......

By way of encouragement, daughter and husband have something like 300 (all big 'uns). They stripped the lot in about 18 months, working some evenings and weekends.
So get those sleeves rolled up...

How do you know when the kling strip has been totally removed.
I thought I'd done the one beam, but on cleaning the one joinging it and getting the first one wet it appears to be still in need of cleaning as the water coming off it was again a brown colour.
Or is this just the wood colour now coming out?
They used to be black, but the water was never black on cleaning, it was always a dark brown.
Would using the neutraliser stop this from happening
Woodworm holes - how best to clean them? Some have held onto the kling strip for dear life, so is it just a case of manually cleaning them out with a toothpick!!
Maybe the cleaner will force it out?
What would happen if some was left in, because I didn't notice it?
Should I just email this batch of questions to Strippers!!!

Well some of the black paint is flaking, some repairs have been made so we have a hotch potch of wood, so it's either clean it up and paint it, or clean it off and oil it.

I'll be interested in the answer to these questions to. I have just started testing kling strip myself and would welcome any tips to make it easier.

A copy of the return email from Strippers, which echoed Penners' daughters actual use.

Unfortunately, you will have to keep changing the washing down water until it becomes clean, this is a very important process because if you do not remove all the residues you can have problems with salts appearing after the beams dries. It would be advisable to add either our neutraliser to the final rinse water, or use a solution of 50% vinegar and 50% water for the final rinse this will help to stop the salts.
As for the woodworm holes it is just a matter of picking it out with a toothpick. The Vacwash attachment will remove the Kling-Strip residues better than using a scrubbing brush, for this you will also need a pressure washer and a wet/dry vacuum .
If any Kling-strip was left in the holes, you would see the white spots.
