Worth a watch if you haven't already. Lucy Worsley is rather annoying but there is some interesting stuff in there.

I'm afraid I had to turn it off at the point when she was flouncing round in a frilly frock declaring herself a walking glittering silver candlestick. :roll: Why must the presentation of rather interesting history be more about the presenter, especially when they have such flat bosoms and poor consonants?

I'm afraid she is a Media Hussy, known rather too well for my liking by one of our dear PPUKe contributors, although it appears he had a lucky escape from her Machiavellian clutches.

I quite enjoyed it - I particularly enjoyed the visible breath inside the medievil house with it's cosy central fire.
I suspect she was wearing gloves because it was filmed in bitter cold even in doors.
Makes me glad I live in a house with windows, doors and central heating.

What did it for me was when she was talking about the domed ceiling, that was an opportunity right there to discuss a pretty interesting topic however grabbing the geezer and swirling him around pretending to dance with him whilst saying ''this ceiling just makes me want to spin around'' was a bit dizzy if you ask me. The poor bloke kept saying ''that wasnt dancing'' but she was having none of it.

Perhaps we all need to make a proper period homes program and keep it real. I am sure we could do better than the restoration man kind of crap thats presently being shown.
