I have just seen the Telegraph Spab article 20th Nov regarding The Damp Doctor, Mike Parrett.

He reckons he's examined 30,000 houses. Well he does'nt look that old, so either he works very fast or exagerates slightly.

Even if hes been at it for 30 years thats nearly 3 a day, 7 days a week, no holidays or days off.

Im supprised this Parrett has'nt fallen off its perch and ceased to be!

We're smack opposite St Giles House, the new 'Boutique Hotel' that's opening today.
And next door to the YMCA.
Used to live at the top of St Clements Hill.

Ectually, David, we're very broadminded round here. Narch is a very cosmopolitan city these days and all are welcome, as I'm sure Gareth would attest.
We even have people from Ealing visiting us, and no-one makes remarks.
Anyway, the Norfolk/Suffolk borders have been pretty fluid in the past: when researching the history of our house in Harleston we discovered that at one time it had been in Suffolk, so we had to venture into Ipswich to find some of the records.

We're not locals either, Graham - we immigrated a couple of decades ago, but we found that after a few years Norfolkness sort of stuck. And my old man originates from oop north.
Anyway, I'm game for a pp get-together, if you are. Sunday's the best day as far as parking is concerned.

I been at it for 27 years and allowing for weekends, holidays etc and on the assumption I did three a day (which I dont) I can only get up to 18,500.

Is it journalistic licence or B......S.......?
