Looks like an umbrella stand to me, I wonder what happened to the fancy umbrella and decorated walking sick collection.

I have a suspicion that the owners also once ran a shop that sold house and garden nick-nacks.

I have seen a former shopkeeper's home that was very similar after they closed.
They had stock that they couldn't get rid of but rather liked themselves, hence the clutter.

Also a great many people get involved in what they sell, so much so that they allow it to completely overrun their life and home.
The saying, "the cobbler's children are always the worst-shod" is often far from true.
I think the term to describe it is called vocational irony.

I'm out of words to say! It must have been very difficult to clean all those stuff. I'm pretty sure that there is no child living in that house or else those stuff will break into pieces.
