I need to relay a few loose internal paviours which have 'worked loose' during building work.
The grout lines on the rest of the floor are tiny (1-2mm). I'll be laying the tiles on a bed of lime (naturally!) but need to know how to grout the joints. The joints sizes are similar to what you'd see on a Viccie encaustic floor.
I was thinking of laying the tiles, waiting a day or two for the lime to set enough to hold the tiles and then dry brushing some NHL 3.5/fine sand into the joints, brushing away the excess and then lightly misting the tiles, to wet the joints.
Is this the way the joints would have been filled traditionally, anyone know how best to go about it without staining the tiles?
