I don't think you can. and nor can you have an avatar - both are disabled, thankfully for those of us with the sort of eyesight which finds the visual clutter of so many sites makes them very hard to read.

In general I agree that signatures are pointless and just a nuisance. But I did see one on another forum that I rather liked. It said:
