House walls finished

I'd have liked to have entitled this "House Finished", but there's still the roof...

A lot of you kindly commented on my "Pleased with Works" thread but here's the final newly lime rendered, ashlar scored, and limewashed thing. Skillingtons were pure delight from start to finish, with the only heart breaking thing being their going. I actually would have given a lot to have gone with them as a trainee lime plasterer, it's a thought though I tend to better at fantasising about careers than actually doing them.

Anyway, piccies!

It's a subtle difference but all-important!

Looks amazing, Skillingtons are obviously an excellent firm, and even the porch windows which I know you're not too keen on, look much better with the new colour scheme.

Thanks for all the nice comments. Yes, we're just delighted with it! I now have to go round in the mornings brushing off the millipedes, and wiping the paw prints from under the sills, I can't bear to see it getting grubby. A pity the roof probs are damaging the corners but I'm working on getting the roofer here.

Not undiplomatic at all, I disliked them too but they were our only lights to see by in the garden for years! It's still a bit tricky here in the dark with all the steps but gradually we're getting proper outside lighting.
