Hoppers

Found some cast iron hoppers at "odds and sods" in bolsover,prices start at £10.He says they would make nice planters,I think they would make better hoppers!.

Hoppers, rainwaterheads...I love them! They were (are) my favourite things to make.

There are several lots of hoppers in the auction coming up at TW Gaze in Diss

Interesting Me! The "oversize" heads I reckon would have been used to catch the discharge from the valley between two dormer windows. The other heads described as a pair are in fact different in that one is smaller than the other, has a different pattern (although still with a grape and vine theme) and is from a corner location. They are both very decorative though and maybe Arts and Crafts influenced?

I'd like a few minutes with them to copy the patterns...
