(Hopefully) helpful lime plaster painting information

I wasn't sure where to post this but found it helpful and thought I'd share.

I've been doing a bit of searching about and found this article on painting lime plaster which gives a list of SD values for various paints since they're often a little difficult to find.

I've also found another (slightly cheaper) claypaint option (they also do other types of traditional paints like limewash and linseed based paints). Their limewash looks fairly reasonably priced too.

But to add to this - Fenwick & Tilbrook seem to have the widest range of colour options available in clay paint that I've come across.

But to add to this - Fenwick & Tilbrook seem to have the widest range of colour options available in clay paint that I've come across.

I read on a different forum that dulux trade supermatt has a published SD value and is suitable for new/lime plaster. Does anyone know what it is and if this is the case?

I also second this. A number of my clients have used these, notably in Suffolk. They seem to be good, if the Historical Society of Lavenham use them, they are probably ok...
