I havent been on here in a while, been trying to actually get on with all the work that needs doing, but I needed to check a few things so while I was using the search I thought I would mention this.
I had a big wooden gate to paint, and didnt want to spend a fortune on paint, and obviously I didnt want to use modern paint...
So as a compromise I mixed Raw Linseed Oil with cheap powder paint. It was a bit messy to make and use, and the resultant "paint" seemed very thin, but several months on the results look pretty reasonable for about £6 a litre.
