Historic paint

I have tried to find on the old forum certain posts by Peter regarding paint, but so far without success.

This however is on another part of this site and I felt it should possibly be drawn to wider notice.

Sadly Peter died in autumn 2005, and his expertise, regarding historic paint, lime and many other things I know I miss.

That article on traditional paints, by Colin Mitchell Rose, is really fascinating. Surprisingly, he seems to speak in rather approving terms about alkyd resins.
