Hip Tiles / Roof Pitch

Finally the weather has improved and I'm back on the roof. I need 30 reclaimed arris hip tiles. I took my iPhone (with very handy Angle Meter app..) into the loft and it shows rafters pitched at 46-47 degrees.

It seems that arris hips are available in 45 and 50 degree angles. I wonder what hip tiles I should be buying here?

I would guess that your tiles will be lying at an angle very slightly less than the angle of the rafters, as the upper edge of the tiles lies on the batten but the lower edge lies on the tile below; hence 45 degrees is needed?

Oh dear, nothing worse than a saggy arris, I have to work very hard to stave that off as it isn't a good look, and I would get too hot in Spanx :shock:

No, "Spanx" are a thing, American I think, although available worldwide. They are supposed to do many marvels to ones saggy baggy bits, but are about as far away from "racy" as it's possible to imagine. http://www.spanx.co.uk/shop/body-shapers/features/butt-boosting/booty-boost-girl-short.html ( those are the sexy ones and Agent Provocateur they are not ). Must be so much easier to be a gentleman and not have to worry about such things, I had only just stopped stressing about my "thigh gap" when somebody invented the "bikini bridge" and ........ Yes I believe so, many gentleman callers have been severely injured when keeping their lady love encased beyond the deadline.

Much better to use a different brand, maybe this one which seems to be being modeled by one of our beautiful cat loving members :wink:
