Hinge drive pin

Just on the off-chance.... dug up a pair of old strap hinges in the garden today. They pivot on a ½" drive pintle, or at least one does, because despite extensive excavation I've not found the other.
I could use these hinges, but.... any idea where I might buy a new drive pintle? All those for sale seem to have larger diameter pivot pins, like this

This one is also too long in the drive, the one I have is about 4" long although that's not critical. I suppose as a last resort I could buy one of these and cut/file it down.

Any ideas please?

Is that what you're after? That same site sells a really big range of gate hardware, they do a variety of 12mm pins on plates, bolt-through, etc etc

I'll have a rummage around tomorrow and see if they have anything else of immediate use.

When I've done what I'm going to do with the hinges, I'll post, as it's a bit odd.

I wouldn't have wanted you to keep such a pivotal argument concealed Penners. I was feeling quite flush up until that point - now I can see the friction that could be caused. Maybe you could coach me? Otherwise the argument could lift-off, I wouldn't want anyone to get into a flap.
