Help ! Plastic and glue on floorboards

Hi folks,
I have recently bought a 18th century terrace and am trying to bring it back to its true beauty! I have got into trouble with the floorboards in the living room. There’s was carpet glued to underlay glued to the floor boards. I have tried to remove it but am left with plastic from the underlay on the boards. I have tried to scrape it off but I have back ache and my blisters have blisters! Any advice please. BW, Sara

I've found a hot air gun will soften many adhesives around the home. Once the glue is soft, it should be easier to scrape off.

If all else fails call Strippers of Sudbury and ask for their advice.

Can I just stress that you should be very careful when Googling that....

Thanks folks. will try air gun. It is like my new hobby now. Peeling plastic off the floor!!
