Hi All,
From all I've read on this site and others, I think the changes I would like to make to my kitchen need to comply with part L but none of the builders I have spoken to think I should worry. I don't want to have issues if we sell the house so hoping that one of you can help!
I have a victorian terrace (in conservation area but not listed). I would like to change one nasty 80s double glazed window to a pair of french doors and one nasty 80s double glazed door and window to a smaller window only.
I'm guessing I need to keep to double glazing and the new units should have U values of 2 or better? Do I have to have the trickle vents? (the other window in the room is original 2 over 2 sash so draughty!)
Do I need to get any certification from the planning dept for this? All the builders are telling me not to inform them.......
Many thanks!
