A few years ago when we were new to restoration, I'm afraid to say I made the mistake of applying dark oak wax to one set of our beautiful beams. Since then I have discovered that medium brown would have been a far better choice and this is what I've applied to our other set with great success. I have tried a solvent based wax remover on the dark stuff to no avail. Question is, should I stop looking back and embrace the dark oak now I've done it or can anyone suggest a more effective way of stripping it off so I can start again with my P7 Briwax ?
