New person here. Have found the forum recently and hope to make use of the collective expertise in the near future. We are hoping to buy a nice big but rather neglected Victorian semi soon (we are just past the survey stage and arriving at the "renegotiating the price" stage - hopefully). I am not inexperienced in the renovation game, having done work on two properties before (one Edwardian one Victorian) but this is the biggest yet. I have found the forum very useful so far for ideas and wondered if there is anyone out there in the grim north (Lancs) who can recommend quality tradesman who will treat the house with a bit of respect? We will need electricians, joiners, damp/beetle/wall tie specialists initially.
