The recent "Has anyone used..." thread has got me thinking. What are the tasks we all do with tools that are really designed for something completely different? Some of these will probably stray into the "Don't try this at home!" category.
Recently I've used my palm sander with a nylon pad to aid washing the quarry tiles on the kitchen floor and my steam wall-paper stripper to degrease and free up the bonnet catch on the car. The leaf blower is my stand-by bonfire oxygenater. I'm sure there are others that are so ingrained I don't see them as unusual.
We all repurpose tools don't we? ...or is just me that is too mean to buy the right tool for the job?
