Does anyone have experience with Beeckotex, a ready-to-use fibre plaster made by Aglaia? The walls in my cottage are a mixture of lime plaster, gypsum repairs and gypsum plaster done after a DPC was done (by the previous owners). I'm looking for something that will:
1. Be breathable, since approximately 2/3 of the plaster is lime (*actually, I think it's lime - is there a way to tell for sure if it is?)
2. Help even up the effect of the different textures that are on the wall now. The post-damp course plaster is perfectly flat and smooth while the old plaster comes and goes a bit and is less smooth.
From reading the spec sheet, it looks like this would be suitable for my various surfaces. Has anyone used the stuff? If so, how did you find the finished texture? I was planning to trowel it rather than roll it.
Or does anyone have other suggestions for a suitable skim coat for mixed gypsum/lime plaster walls? I
