Juju is hinting there might be a PPUK party this year - now I'm sure we'd all like the date wouldn't we!
It will be set in the era of the Puritans though - so alas, we won't be seeing her in the charming flapper outfit tipsy on champers. Still, perhaps we can research an anti Puritan sect for the period?

Thanks for birthday wishes! It was my German niece aged about 2 who nicknamed me Juju - hopefully it wasn't based on her thinking I practised witchcraft :lol:

I had a lovely birthday spent with my twin brother in Islington who bought me lovely new clothes - I think he took pity on me not having much work at the moment. Plus he approves of my new vintage/retro look so bought me a gorgeous 1960s style dress which was quite cheap for an Islington shop!

Yes the rumours are true about a PPUK party at our house - I'm thinking of Saturday 11 June. I'll post a separate message about it soon! No puritan outfits allowed - just lovely outfits from any era. I have bought a satin skirt and matching corset style top though (£12 on ebay) that will be transformed into a suitable outfit. I have been studying portraits of lovely ladies from the late 1600s for ideas...

I've just put that date in my diary and will keep it free Juju - how exciting! As I said before we will stay locally on Saturday night, maybe Friday too, and take in some NT properties in the area I hope others might too?

Some good hotels (period properties of course) in Witney - all walking distance from our house for those wishing to partake of alcohol at the party. I can recommend the Witney Hotel or The Fleece on Church Green (20 mins walk from ours). There is a hotel at the top of our street too. And many National Trust properties to visit within an hour's drive as well as the delights of the Cotswolds and Oxford too.

Oh and we can offer 2 spare double bedrooms (one ensuite!) at our house. One is being decorated as we speak...
