Pah! I've done that trick myself. Don old clothes, lean on a pallet of materials looking mean and muscular (well - trying!) for a photo.

Then it's back indoors for a cuppa and a Kitkat.

The spelling test is just a little birthday present for Robin dear Mr P, as he is never shy about picking me up on my grammar and is a self-confessed pedant.

Ive always been a bit apprehensive with ''spelled'' and wondered between it and ''spelt'' , could just be my accent.

Both fine - the "t" ending is just irregular - some say that it's more British, and the "ed " ending more American, but I'm sceptical about this.

Here are other examples of where "t"may substitute "ed":

Dear all,

Thankyou all for my lovely birthday wishes (here and in Another Place*). It is very kind of you all.

Am having a nice day - except I'm at work. But I unexpectedly popped home for a quick lunch expecting to find my family all here sheltering form half-term.... and they're all out!

I'm looking forward to doing my spelling test later - what a great present Joce!

I had some lovely presents - including (what a surprise!) a weekend away learning to dry-stone wall!! Magic.
