Happy Anniversary

Today, believe it or not, represents the first anniversary of JoceAndChris joining this Forum, in which time she has managed to chalk up an impressive 1,989 posts. Only five contributors have posted more and they were all around when the counter started in 2006 on the switch-over to the new format. Of the larger contributors she has the third highest average daily posting of 5.45, a little way behind Penners on 8.18 and Nemesis on 7.47, but way ahead of my meagre 0.47. Am I starting to sound like a trainspotter?

Dear oh dear - I have no expertise of period properties whatsoever, nor a trade, how embarrassing! But what I'm lacking in actual skill I make up for in extreme nosiness!

Do you know you lot are just about the only humans I get to talk to in a typical day? I do appreciate the company very, very much and find the houses, stories and characters completely fascinating. I enjoy talking to the regulars here more than I've ever enjoyed talking to anyone.

I just wish people wouldn't leave us so much, and leave their stories dangling in mid-air. And sometimes I wish you weren't all disembodied voices, but then other times I think that's actually quite convenient as it saves a lot of work.

But many, many thanks to all for the incredible help with BC, which I didn't understand at all when I moved in, and thanks for all the good times too my lovelies! And to Simon and Rob, for providing this wonderfully helpful forum, and for only censoring me twice, which is pretty remarkable when you consider it.

Robin - I did try to hit 2 thou, but as you know the wife-bell gets rung most crossly in the evenings and at weekends, so I couldn't quite manage it!
