Hanging for small shutter

Help! I need to find two replacement 'hook to drive' pins for the shutters to hang on, this is in what was the dairy, so a little shuttered opening, held in place by something like this:

but it may be 3 - 4cm tall and less than 1cm diameter, they are driven in to the wooden uprights of the window. Can anyone recommend a supplier or shall I find a smithy?

They are readily available in many DIY stores in France, because so many houses over there still have shutters.
I have bought several whilst over there as the range is good, and the prices very reasonable.

Do you mean though that you just want the pintle part of the hinges, like these - https://goo.gl/images/e4fHnp?

Hi Socksitis,
Being the kind of bloke that finds it difficult to simply throw away pieces of other peoples hard work as they turn up from time to time, and with this old place that includes lots of bits and pieces of forged iron and steel. I had the thought that I may have a couple of these stashed somewhere; particularly as I had restored an external metal shutter window a few years back.

After a bit of a rummage I'm sorry to report that I found only one which has a roughly 5mm diameter post and is about 50mm in length. You would be welcome to it if its of any use and I'd be happy to mail it to you, just pm me with your address - bidding starts at free to a good home.

It may be a better idea though to have a word with a local smithy depending on how many you need. If you go down this route though see if he can cut a screw-thread into each piece. It will make fine adjustments a lot easier and you will not be worried, as I was, that you might knock the frame out.

we have rumaged through our junk pile too and have found one that may do - but only one, so your donation would be gratefully received!

I have bought several of these on ebay to hang plank doors. Larger ones are more common but smaller ones are there too if you wait
