gypsum meeting lime

Hi,
ok if I don't bother with lime plastering the plasterboard and use a gypsum skim how do you marry the corner.
ie : I have a plasterboard and gypsum wall cornering with a lime on lath wall - do you still tape the corner with that plasterboard net thing and then bring the gypsum skim round the corner onto the lime wall enough to cover the net tape stuff and will this adhere to the lime wall (dry and ancient).

Uhhhh! how do I do this?

Gypsum sticks to almost anything - like sh!t to a blanket as my father used to say.
