Grant Triple Pass Back Boiler

Hi and thanks for reading.

I have a Grant 'Triple Pass' back boiler, which is giving some problems at present with insufficient draught. Does anyone know the address/website details of this company?
The flue is clean as are the passageways in the boiler, but for some strange reason there is little draught and as a result I have smoke in my living room. The system had been running nicely for a month and just last week this fault developed.
I have tried all sorts of settings, but to no avail!
If I put the draught to the back of the boiler, I cannot generate enough heat to get the 'kettling' effect.
Hoping someone out there can help me.

I don't know anything about these. If you are getting smoke in the room, then you need to turn it off NOW until you can get it inspected. Inhaling the carbon monoxide in the flue gases can easily kill you.

Thanks Aidan for the response.
The Grant company that you refer to, seems to only manufacture oil fired boilers.
My back boiler is heated by an open fire.

Hopefully I will be able to sort out the problem.

I had assumed it was oil. If the flues are clean, is there sufficient make-up air getting into the room? The chimney won't extract the combustion products if there's inadequate fresh air supply. You can also get similar problems if there's an extract fan or tumble dryer drawing air from the same space.

The comments about carbon monoxide still apply, it's very nasty stuff

A triple pass natural-draught solid fuel boiler sounds very unusual & Grant do offer a triple pass oil-fired boiler. Are you sure it's not a oil boiler that's had some unapproved modifications? I'm not at all sure about this.........

It is definitely an open fire with Grant triple pass back boiler.
It is plumbed into the oil fired system, which is in a separate flue.
I am just wondering if this inclement weather is playing any part. During the time it was behaving perfectly, we were experiencing still frosty weather here in Northern Ireland. If not the WX it has to a problem in the chimney, yet I cannot see anything adrift. The flue is clean and gives a good draught above the actual boiler; I lit some paper and it burned away immediateky because of the draught.
I will let you know the outcome (should I find one!)

I too have a Grant triple pass solid fuel open fire+ back boiler so I know the exact model you refer to. I too cannot find the manufacturers web site. It may be that Grant used to make this but now no longer do and have deleted this information from their site, annoying if true, some product support!!!
Or maybe there is another "Grant" that specialises in coal fires, any suggestions anyone?
I too notice sometimes a lack of draught but possibly not quite as bad as you describe. I dont get smoke in the room.
