Good antique places in Paris?

So as not to hijack the London thread.....

I'll have 2-3 hours to kill in Paris on Thursday afternoon, a rare luxury on a business trip! Usually I get to see the airport and that's about it. Anyone recommend anywhere good for the more bric-a-brac / junk shop end of the antique world, for a man of modest means such as I, to browse for a bit? Most of the markets appear to be unsurprisingly held at the weekend.

Sorry no knowledge and I cannot think of the right term to search for the 2nd hand furniture shops that are amazing, all I can think of is M. Bricolage.......I know that is not right

We lived in Paris for a number of years and as I remember the best shopping is at the flea markets rather than in shops. We used to go to the Marché aux Puces de la Porte de Vanves in the 14th arrondissement but I think it was only open at the weekend. It was a real mixture of tat and lovely stuff - and my expert friend said that the vendors knew exactly what they had, and anything nice was priced accordingly!

Marché aux puces (flea market), brocante (vintage sales) and vide-greniers (car-boot sale) are the terms to search for. Sorry I can't be more help.
