Getting paint off floorboards?

How best to remove paint splashes from floorboards? Some is gloss that's probably been there since the seventies, and some is from us painting the walls ......

Also, can anyone tell me what BBCode is?

"BBCode is a special implementation of HTML. Whether you can actually use BBCode in your posts on the forum is determined by the administrator. In addition, you can disable BBCode on a per post basis via the posting form. BBCode itself is similar in style to HTML: tags are enclosed in square braces [ and ] rather than < and > and it offers greater control over what and how something is displayed. Depending on the template you are using you may find adding BBCode to your posts is made much easier through a clickable interface above the message area on the posting form. So this in bold
Would look like this in BB code

Though I have had to add spaces inside the brackets so that it doesn't automatically hide itself and only show up as bold text as per the first sentence.

You can do it by typing out the whole of the code or just using the preset button above the posting box, do this by highlighting the text you wish to be bold adn press the B button. Have a practice in the test forum and use the preview button instead of post button to see if you have got it right.

You can also easily make text italic/underlined/change size and colour - but remember to highlight it first then press the button

Little blobs of paint can usually be scraped off. Some may need to be encouraged with Nitromores. My bathroom floor has a 'historic patina' of paint splashes, the product of a century of careless decorators. One can grow to like it.
