Gas Rayburn commissioner wanted in Lincs / Notts

Hi all

Well, our house is well on the way now...so much so, that I'm looking for someone who can commission my natural gas Rayburn once the plumber has installed it. Trouble is, I'm having problems finding someone. I *did* have someone in mind a few years ago but he's not commissioning anymore :evil: Can anyone recommend someone in the Lincs / Notts area, please? Thanks.

I wonder what 'commissioning' involves. I always thought that to get a gas stove to work you had to turn the gas on and then light it. Or has the world moved on?

My Rayburn has twin burners (one for cooking and hot water and a separate one for heating). I think the commissioning is a lot more to do with getting the pressure right from the jets than just simply igniting the gas. Of course, if I knew the full answer (and was CORGI registered), I'd pobably just do the job myself

If you know how to connect the appliance safely yourself, you don't need a CORGI engineer. Legally. You only need to be CORGI if you are charging for the work.

However, unless you are a "competent individual" probably not worth trying....

Thanks for this but I've already been in touch with this guy. Unfortunately, he only deals with Agas...a completely different kettle of fish

I do have the number of another one, but not here. In fact I have the number of someone who seems to know all the installers in the different areas.
