After getting well into waxing the wood in my house over the last few days, my Rayburn decided to spring a slight gas leak yesterday  Nothing too bad, just a slight smell of unspent gas coming from around the cooker knob. So, I turned off the gas at the mains and called National Grid, who got here in about 20 minutes. Unfortunately, they couldn't re-light the Rayburn as the flame failure device on the cooker side kept kicking in due to low pressure on the pilot light   Damn!!!! Now I've got to wait until I can get someone out tomorrow to fix it. Fortunately, I have an annual maintenance agreement on it, which will cover any work and parts Still, I'm pretty miffed that I can't carry on with the waxing. Well, I 'could' if I lit the wood burner but it's far too early for that  Oh well, looks like it's a day of buffing.....now, where's Joce with those cloths on her feet?????????
