hello again, I posted this gable wall damp issue last year and only now I’ve found time to start the refurb inside. I previously posted showing that I have removed the gable cement render and repointed with lime as water was getting in through all of the cracks. I thought I’d show some early investigations found today. I assume the slate shown behind the plaster is some form of cowboy cover up to stop damp penetrating? My plan now is to dry line all of the walls following addressing the gable externally. Your thoughts would be much appreciated as always. I will keep you posted with some lovely progress pics
