Thought people may not be aware of this organisation, and may be interested in reading about it.

"Friends of Friendless Churches" is, however, open to misinterpretation - Matthew Saunders, their sec., once said they get a few calls every month from the desperately lonely, hoping they're a religious organisation for people with no friends.

Well, the desperately lonely could join the Friends, and the AMS, and enjoy the benefits - and possibly join in with a local Friends group... looking after some of these Friendless churches would be a very worthwhile thing to do!

Then of course there is SPAB and its local groups, the Vic Soc with its Events (a goodie coming up on pubs and breweries...) - all manner of societies - and they would be lonely no longer!
