Can anyone identify these 'twin' castles? I want the names of both of them, and the location. The winner gets to post another picture of a mystery period building.

Where is it and who was it built for?

Well at first I thought it was the tithe barn at Bradford on Avon. But I'm not so sure now - it's some years since I went there.

No - it's the one at Pilton...

Tithe barn at St Catherine's Court, built for the Prior of Bath? and more recently occupied by actress and, if the locals are to be believed, noisy neighbour, Jane Seymour.

I thought it was built for the police to cover the remains of the body they'd found, but now I'm not sure we are talking about the white building............

Or could it have been - as Aidan said - the monks at Glastonbury.
