Found in cellar

A house we viewed today has two cellars, way below ground level. Estate Agent quickly pointed out that the Vendor had double glazed the cellar window and got the dehumidifier going, also sealed around the edges of the cellar door from the staircase down so that the problem would soon be sorted----- :lol: What could I say :?

Well, you see, there's your problem. If the cellars had been built way above ground level, the dampness could probably have been averted.

Quite so, however, additionally, there is a faulty downpipe on the outside wall!

It is a 3 storey building as well.

Anyway, I need to forget all about it now since the Vendors are still hoping to get their asking price, despite our healthy and very close offer.
