I was in the newcastle branch last year for a nosey and overheard some customers scoffing about how there were going to ikea to buy some fittings after they'd finished there order. Obviously were just taking the mick out of 'common' shops.
We briefly looked at a Fired Earth kitchen (briefly meaning a couple of milliseconds) for our new extension three years ago before selecting one for a fifth of the price and painting it in Fired Earth Kevin McCloud paint called Ultramarine Ashes. It's a kind of bluey grey that looks great and changes tone as the light levels change throughout the day. We couldn't afford the extension and a £20,000+ kitchen so we will live with ours for a few more years yet and then refit if necessary. Having said this, we still won't spend stupid money as it wouldn't suit the cottage.
If I had lots of money, I would certainly buy one of their kitchens! I think they're lovely. I've only ever bought tiles and paint from them and found them really helpful in tile calculations, etc. I loved the floor tiles I bought from them for my last house - they were beautiful purpley slate. Broke my heart to leave that kitchen behind when I moved a year later! It helped sell the house but of course if I'd known Mr Juju was going to sweep me off my feet and make me move to Oxfordshire, I wouldn't spent so much (Habitat kitchen, tiles, building work, new boiler and windows etc....)

I like the style of Fired Earth kitchens but don't like the finish.
The fake distressed paintwork and pretend worm holes make them look really plastic close up.
You could get something bespoke made for a similar price.
My view is that Fired Earth 'furniture' is way over priced and poorly made and as a consequence looks pretty 'rough'. I wouldn't buy it. I do own a Fired Earth rug. It was way over-priced but I do like it but could have bought the same much cheaper with hindsight.
I have some Fired Earth tiles - Aga splashback and downstairs loo basin splashback - and I've been pleased with these.

I rang this company today as I want some bespoke wardrobes. They also do free standing and fitted bespoke kitchens. Well worth a chat with them.
I do like Fired Earth, maybe if you are having a freestanding kitchen you could have one piece of fired earth furniture/cabinate, but I am assuming you would be doing that.
Your best bet is probably a local joiner or kitchen firm, this is what we will be doing eventually.
