Fire resistance

We are now 70% through repairing our 15C timber framed house. (thanks for the help on fighting off building control when they wanted a damp proof course).
The latest issue is fire resistance. I am trying to track down "evidence" of fire resistance for lath and plaster on timber, walls and ceilings.
Anyone help?

You need to get them to state, in writing, which part of the guidelines they wish to apply apropos fire regs. Are you intending to do B&B or let out any part of the house? if not, then the fire resistance should not be an issue.
And is the place listed?

It is listed, the fire resistance is a requirement for opening up a second floor (means of escape stair), required for domestic as well as B&B. Easy enough with the White Book but I would prefer to use lath, lime plaster etc.

I would second the Trada route as they have tested some Lime plaster samples for me as well as the timber in the Lath. The woman I spoke to was called Natalie Furbank - very helpful
