Finishing reclaimed pine floor boards.

My lovely pine boards have arrived. Can anyone please recommend a finish for the boards once they are laid (or before laying), I want to keep them looking as natural as possible and was thinking of Linseed and beeswax, I do not want to varnish them as I think this looks unatural. Are there any other suggestions or alternatives I could look at.

I've never used them myself, but Osmo oil products have often been well spoken of on this forum.

Before you lay your floor, do be sure to stack the boards in the room where they will be laid for as long as you can - a minimum of two weeks. Put slips of wood between all the stacked boards so that the air can circulate freely around each one.

This will allow the wood to acclimatise to the room, and will minimise expansion and/or shrinkage of the boards after they're laid.

I just used Osmo hard wax oil for the first time on a reclaimed pine floor a few weeks ago. It was very easy to use and gives a nice finish, but obviously I can't comment on the durability yet.
