HELP PLEASE!
I am trying to find a suitable aggregate to float up my render job. I am using nhl 3.5 and have done a scratch coat. A 2nd coat with sharp sand and horse hair. Found the sharo sand a little too gritty and worried I won't get a decent finish if I use that for the final layer. I have tried looking everywhere but can't seem to find any fine sharp sands. I live near Derby in the east Midlands. Just need around 8 bags of fiber aggregates to mix with my lime for the finishing coat. Can I use builders sand or plasterers sand. I have read somewhere these are too weak for the lime. (Or even a mix up of them all)
Really struggling and only have my scaffold for another couple of weeks. Thanks in advance matt
