Filled in cellar

Hi
We think we have filled in cellar under our house and it has a wooden boarded floor above. We are looking to make the room above the cellar our kitchen. The boards are on joists and we are looking to put self levelling compound with either tiles or flagstones over the top.
What we aren't sure of is, will the weight of all the flagstones and self levelling compound, plus kitchen units cause problems with the floor seeing that there is a gap between the cellar and floor above. Hope this makes sense.

are you putting all this on a timber floor?

difficult with out seeing it but that sounds like a non starter, weight too much often for average timber floor and risk of cracking from vibration. not impossible, but you would need to make sure floor strong enough, probably adding joists/ reducing span and then use a decoupling mat under floor covering.
I'd be wary!

Hmmm. I'm told by the previous owners it's filled with sandy stuff and about a 2ft gap from the floor above to the top of the sand. Bit like a suspended floor I guess. I mean the boards are solid. You can't lift them at all so many nails in them. We tried with a crowbar and hammer and it still wouldn't budge.
