Two things struck me.

1: How much I've saved over the years not employing people to renew my soffits

2: Absolutely no mention whatever of any sympathy with the original building.

The saving grace of that doc is that it doesn't say 'If your windows need painting, rip out and replace with UPVC'.

Oh dear. I don't at all mind the fact my house is shabby and a bit battered around the edges. The occupants are much the same.
