IIRC on an earlier thread Matt Green said today would be the last day he was able to post the expert advice that has been of such help to many visitors to the forum. There are many people in old buildings today sleeping a little more soundly, knowing that finding a couple of Victorian woodworm holes does not mean their house needs to be soaked in DDT or have all its timbers replaced. So Matt, if you read this, THANKS.
Lets hope that someone equally as knowledgable joins the forum to continue the good work.

I must confess that I didn't take Matt's valedictory post too seriously, and to my regret I therefore failed to add my thanks for all his contributions to this forum.
