External colour for roof lantern

Hi everyone, building a small extension at back.of 3 bed victorian terrace. Have ordered black heritage style doors and windows downstairs. Keeping white upstairs windows. Have ordered white interior and exterior roof lantern. Now second guessing myself on the exterior colour. Any advice please?

I prefer black or a dark colour for windows on the roof. White will stand out up there. But it's personal preference.

If the roof lantern is wood and south facing, then white as it will last longer before it is destroyed by the sun.
If made of alloy or something that will never need repainting, then black.

Can't quite imagine black windows downstairs and white up.

I think a darker colour would look best
