Exterior black woodstain- what to use?

Bit of advice needed please folks. We've got some cladding that needs to be stained black and not sure what to use. So far have found. ...
Bird Brand premium barn paint
And
Fossa substain wb exterior wood stain with fossa superstain wb as topcoat.

We were thinking of getting black creosote but it seems a bit agricultural and potentially smelly for an abode :lol:

I've used black Sadolin on some new exterior cladding for an outbuilding and five years on it seems to be holding up quite well, even the south-facing side. However, I've also used it on an old window and it hasn't fared so well. I suspect this was because it had been previously painted, so my conclusion is that it works better on bare wood.

Creosoted the timbers of our previous house. The smell soon fades. Wear old clothes. The wood does not rot.

The shed used to have a flat felt roof, which didn't look particularly nice, so I obtained LBC to extend the tiled roof over it. For some reason I left the ridge board protruding during construction and before finishing the job had decided to leave it in place for a hanging sign. In the end, I actually used it for a couple of LED floodlights.

We've just had a new shed installed. The company that supplied them strongly recommend 'StableCoat', so I was going to give that a go as they do a black stain.

Just need to wait for the rain to pass and I'll give it a go..

And I see it also protects against mutinous fowl

I use the old oil when I service the car.

diesel sump oil stays black for many years.

just wear gloves.

Thanks all. After much coin tossing and a phone call to the company we've ended up trying bird brand black timber stain.
Turned up quickly and a little bit went a surprisingly long way
Will pop a photo up when it's dried properly.
