Extension possible?

My partner and I are really interested in this property but were wondering if local authorities allow two story extensions for these type of properties. There aren’t many on the road to be able to compare and I’ve looked at planning applications for the road and nothing.

The type of property usually has little bearing unless it is listed.

Things like “being in the green belt”, whether your property has been extended before, local planning policies etc tend to be what they base their decision on
