I looked at a Grade II Listed cottage earlier today - built c. 1523. It's a lovely cottage and I am tempted. The vendor, who spends half his time in Spain, has replaced some of the windows but I think others may need some work, cracked glass replaced and there may be some damp etc etc. The kitchen is tired too. Now before getting a full structural survey I was thinking of asking a local conservation company to have a good look round and quote for the various things that need to be sorted. Does this sound sensible as if it's going to be mega bucks I won't want to pursue any further. Can anyone recommend a reputable company in Herefordshire please? So far I have found Reynolds Conservation who are just over the border in Shropshire. Many thanks in anticipation.
