Essex Traditional Building Skills Courses Timetable

The new timetable of Essex County Council building skills through till next year has been published at

These include timber frame repairs, wattle and daub, lime, flint and lots more. They are not just aimed at the professional, I have taken a couple and used it as a spring board to improve my skills and knowledge. The days can also be a lot of fun.

They always look like excellent courses, though I may not feel quite the same when I've dragged myself out of bed at 5.30am in time to go to the brickworks and Bury St Eds day in a couple of weeks' time (anyone else going? it'd be nice to meet another PPUKer)

I'd love to go to all the courses, if I had the time and money. The one exception is the Bulmer Brick & Toil one - I had some special bricks made there some years ago, so I got the tour thrown in for £0.00.
