Someone has purchased a small annexe at the rear of my premises. This was part of the shop/workshop some years ago and used as an office. The owner split the premises and without planning permission turned the annexe into residential accommodation. It has recently been sold to a developer who is now upgrading it. Unfortunately one of the previous owners of my premises and the annexe put a seperate electric meter with a cable feeding the annexe from the main supply comming into my basement.
The developer now wants to upgrade by installing a new larger cable running through my premises off my incoming supply thereby reducing my future capacity. Am I right to refuse his request? I'm not objecting to him maintainig the existing supply to the annexe as a goodwill gesture and on condition that he doesn't increase his power requirements.
