Me bestest mate Adam Wilkinson, currently Secretary of SAVE, has been appointed as Director of Edinburgh World Heritage Trust.

Yes, he leaves SAVE, and I understand William Palin is to take over.

(Edinburgh is under threat and I don't think certain developers will know what's hit 'em...)

Anyhoo Mr W has arrived back from a visit to his new kingdom and reports the work going on there is wonderful, just not shouted about loudly enough to the rest of the world.

And I'm thrilled to say that Adam Wilkinson MA MSc can now add FSA after his name, having been elected in the June ballot to be a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries - probably one of the youngest ever (at 32) to be so honoured.
