Dryzone DPC anyone?

Picking up and moving sideways from my other posting about damp issues, has anyone used Dryzone or similar? I’m trying to get some sort of plan in place in case the insurance won’t pay, as they currently indicate.

That internet seems to suggest that Dryzone et al isn’t recommended for old properties.

Any experience out there?

Lindyboo - I really hope you're not going to meekly accept the insurance company's decision not to pay, based on the arguments described in your other thread.

If they refuse, fight! Take your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman - see my link on your other thread.

like all injected damp proofing systems, it works by a combination of smoke, mirrors, and tanking with other waterproofing agents up to a metre internally which will cover up what's actually happening in the wall, backed up by some dubiously-edited 'scientific' research which shows that filling a brick with plastic does indeed reduce the amount of water it can absorb, when done under laboratory conditions which have no relationship to what happens in a real building.
