Douglas Fir panelling - advice

I am trying to restore my hallway which is panelled in Douglas Fir plywood. The largest panels are 6' high x 2'6" wide x 1/4" thick. Two of these need replacing along with a couple of smaller ones. Is it still possible to get these made or would I now be looking at getting say MDF veneered instead.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Canadian marine ply is often Douglas fir.
Try asking Edens.

About 20 years ago i bought some 1/4" plywood, one side had a veneer that was a very fair match for douglas fir from "Totton Timber".
FWIW I thought the definition of marine plywood was that it had hardwood veneers and waterproof glue.

Usually that's the case - the bog-standard marine ply is a tropical hardwood. That's why I said Canadian marine ply. Canada grows Douglas fir trees and they are durable enough to work as marine ply when a waterproof glue is used.

Biff - I have chipboard floors below carpet (YUUUKKK) in my second floor bedrooms - I greatly miss having wooden floor boards to walk on and I have been thinking about what I can do about this (given I can't afford to replace the floor boards with Antique Elm as I would if I was flush with dosh) and my question is - I have seen a photo of a floor in a Paris Apartment covered in large square sections of what I think is marine ply but its been limed or given a very dilute coat of white floor paint which has revealed the squiggly graining - it sounds awful but looks quite fantastic.... would this be feasible for bedrooms and is it likely to be Marine ply?

Sounds an interesting idea and if it works in Paris it must be good. Don't worry about the 'marine' bit. You might get more attractive patterns with birch ply. You'll just need to visit some tinber yards and look out for plywood that looks interesting. The durable ones are probably dull looking but durability isn't an issue for a bedroom floor.
